Some 3D modelers have developed an innovative way to make more organic shapes with 3D printing using post processing techniques. Post processing is any activity done after a 3D print is made to alter its appearance. Some examples are sanding, painting, polishing or, in this case, using heat to alter the shape of a 3D print. In this video, you can see the process of softening 3D printed hair to make it appear more natural. In the MiLL, we continue to experiment with materials and techniques to broaden our skill base! Sometimes, we get to have fun doing it!

Experimenting with post-processing techniques is where 3D printing gets truly artistic, because the raw print is just the first step. Sanding, painting, and finishing transform a model from a basic object into something that feels professional and polished. Once you’re ready to put those finishing skills into practice, https://www.gambody.com/premium/argonath-lotr offers models that deserve that extra attention, from comic heroes to iconic video game figures. Post-processing adds personality to every print, turning digital files into something unique and tangible.
